The 101 Awards benefit youth sports medicine at The University of Kansas Health System
Each year since 1969, the most outstanding offensive player, defensive player and coach of the year in both the AFC and NFC are chosen in a nationwide media vote. The winner in each category is presented with the prestigious 101 trophy at the annual awards event in Kansas City.
Proceeds from the 2017 101 Awards will help the experts at the Sports Medicine and Performance Center at The University of Kansas Health System improve the health and wellness of student athletes throughout the region.
Our multidisciplinary team of specialists offers all the latest prevention and treatment options, developing comprehensive programs for young athletes in area schools and leagues. Services include sports physicals, baseline concussion testing and the full-time availability of a certified athletic trainer. These athletic trainers handle sports medicine-related duties like conditioning, rehabilitation and nutrition assistance.
